Mashpee & Falmouth, Massachusetts

You don't have to rise alone.

Root to Rise is a recovery community in Mashpee and Falmouth. Coaching. Meals. Work. A clear path to the help already on the Cape — and a chair at the table while you take it.

Formerly Inspiration is Everywhere — same towns, a clearer mission.

Coaching

Someone who has been there, walking it with you.

Breakfast

Cape Island Cafe, Falmouth. A table, a plate, a coach.

Meals

Packed and delivered when getting to town is too much.

Work

Resumes, first-shift rides, employers who will take a chance.

The work

From the root up.

Root to Rise walks with people in recovery on Cape Cod — offering coaching, meals, work, and a clear path to the resources that make a life possible.

Recovery on the Upper Cape is not a slogan. It is a Tuesday morning at Cape Island Cafe. It is a walk in the Mashpee woods with a coach who will not flinch. It is a packed meal on a night when cooking is too much, and a name on a job application when you thought you had used yours up.

Our story
Neighbors sharing breakfast in a Falmouth cafe

Every week

The Recovery Breakfast.

Cape Island Cafe, Falmouth. Tuesday through Saturday, 10 to 11 in the morning. Free recovery coaching on site. The cafe is open 7am to 2pm if you want to linger.

Pull up a chair

No intake at the door.

Come as you are. Eat. Talk, or don't. If you want a coach, one is already in the room. If you want a second breakfast next week, so are we.

How we hold it

Four promises, kept small enough to keep.

Dignity first

We talk to adults like adults. Recovery is hard enough without being managed.

Show up

A breakfast table that is actually set. A coach who actually calls back. Consistency is the intervention.

Community over isolation

The opposite of addiction is not abstinence. It is connection — in two small towns that still know each other's names.

Practical help

Meals, rides, job leads, a warm introduction. Hope without a plan is just a speech.

Two towns

Mashpee and Falmouth are not the rest of the world.

They are small enough that a missed breakfast is noticed. They are coastal enough that winter is long and summer is loud. Root to Rise lives in both — because recovery does not commute well, and help should not require a ferry schedule of courage.

The book

The 7 Pillars of Resilience

Vice President James Sweet wrote a weekly practice for people who are tired of white-knuckling recovery — vision, composure, reasoning, tenacity, collaboration, stewardship, and a seventh day to put it back together.

Read it here, download the PDF, bring it to breakfast. It is the same work we do at the table, on the page.

Set a place. Fund a plate. Walk with us.

Gifts keep the breakfast going, the kitchen packing, and coaches in the room. Time is a gift too — we will put you to work.
