Coaching, a table, a job, a map.

Root to Rise is not a clinic and it is not a slogan. It is a set of practical rooms — some of them actual rooms, some of them a walk, some of them a kitchen — where recovery can take up space in Mashpee and Falmouth.

Recovery coaching

A coach walks beside you — not ahead of you, and never above you.

Our coaches are people who understand recovery in their bones. They help you name what recovery means for you, remove the practical barriers in the way, and stay close when the week gets loud. Sessions happen in town, over coffee, on a walk, or at the breakfast table.

Coach training

Turn lived experience into a skill you can offer someone else.

Root to Rise hosts classes and ongoing training for recovery coaches. The work is practical: listening, ethics, resource navigation, and how to show up without taking over. If you are ready to support others on the Cape, we will help you get prepared — and keep learning after the first course ends.

Recovery Breakfast

A hot plate, a quiet table, and a coach on site.

The Recovery Breakfast Program meets at Cape Island Cafe in Falmouth. The cafe is open Tuesday through Saturday, 7am to 2pm. Breakfast for the recovery community is 10:00 to 11:00, with free recovery coaching on site. Come hungry. Stay as long as you need.

Meals

Nobody should have to choose between getting well and getting fed.

We cook, pack, and deliver meals for people in recovery and the households standing with them. Some plates land at the breakfast table. Others go out to someone who cannot make it in. If you can spare a Tuesday in a kitchen, or a trunk full of groceries, you are already part of this.

05

Work & opportunity

A job is more than a paycheck. It is a reason to get up.

We help people in recovery find work that respects their story: resumes, interviews, references, and introductions to Cape employers willing to hire. Mentors sit with you until the application is sent. When we can, we also connect folks to starter kits — boots, a phone, a ride to the first shift.

Community navigation

The Cape has more help than most people know how to find.

Treatment, meetings, housing, food pantries, health care, legal aid, tribal services — the map is real, and it is confusing when you are in the middle of it. We sit down and make a plan: who to call, what to bring, and how to get there from Mashpee or Falmouth.
